Listing Agent
Agent representing the seller in the marketing and sale of real estate. The listing agent and the seller sign a “listing agreement” formalizing their working relationship.
Sub-Agent
Agent other than the listing agent who shows the seller’s property to prospective buyers. This type of agent represents the seller, not the buyer; BUT can pose “vicarious liability” to the seller. Now you have the right to refuse sub-agency and I highly recommend that you do so.
Buyer’s Agent
Agent that represents buyer’s best interests, not the seller, and represents the buyer throughout the real estate transaction.
Facilitator
Agent assists buyer with paperwork during the transaction but cannot by law advise or coach either party in the transaction. Facilitators are not allowed to provide any pricing advice or consultative services.
Designated & Dual Agency
Every real estate agent chooses whether to represent both the buyer and seller in a transaction. It is my business practice to work only as a Designated Agent for either the buyer or the seller; not both in the same transaction. I do not work as a “dual agent” – to ensure I provide the highest level of service to you in representing your best interests.
